The 2025 6G Development Conference, themed "Intelligent Connectivity for a Shared 6G Future", was recently held in Beijing. Zhang Yunming, Vice Minister and Party Group Member of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and Sun Shuo, Vice Mayor and Party Group Member of the Beijing Municipal Government, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. Academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering, domestic and overseas experts and scholars, as well as representatives from international organizations and industry chain enterprises, gathered to discuss 6G standardization, industry-research innovation and international collaboration, aiming to advance the development of global 6G ecosystem. Lyu Peng, Director of the Network and Network Management Product R&D Center at AsiaInfo Technologies, was invited to attend the "Beijing 6G Industry Development Forum" at the conference and delivered a speech.

Lyu Peng stated that 6G, as a new generation of comprehensive intelligent digital information infrastructure for the future, will transcend the scope of traditional mobile communication, and achieve the integration of communication, sensing, computing and intelligence technologies. The service targets will expand from man-machine-material to intelligent agent, and the service space will also extend to an integrated space-air-ground domain, ultimately realizing the future vision of "Intelligent Internet of Everything".
He believes that Beijing possesses multiple advantages, including policy support, talents gathering and well-established ecosystem, making it uniquely positioned to develop the 6G industry. As a high-tech enterprise rooted in Beijing, AsiaInfo Technologies has made early strategic arrangements in 6G technological innovation and product R&D. It has conducted pioneering exploration in two key scenarios—"Integrated Communication and Sensing" and "Integrated Communication and Intelligence"—with related products already commercially deployed.
In October of this year, AsiaInfo Technologies, in collaboration with China Mobile Research Institute, officially launched the AI-native RAN base station (AISWare RANvolution). Rooted in 5G and oriented to 6G, it delivers converged communication, sensing, computing, and AI capabilities, empowering industry customers such as communication operators to build more intelligent and efficient network architectures. The product has been deployed in application scenarios including intelligent wind farm operation/maintenance, remote nuclear power plant operation/maintenance, enterprise intelligent conference, medical health monitoring, indoor object sensing, and low-altitude UAV communication and sensing.
"This year marks the kickoff of 6G standardization, signifying the technology's transition from diverse conceptual exploration to core technology breakthrough and standard formation", stated Lyu Peng. He added that AsiaInfo Technologies will collaborate with industry chain partners to empower Beijing into a pioneer zone for 6G innovation and development, thereby laying a solid foundation for the commercial deployment and industrial upgrading of 6G.
