On October 27, Inner Mongolia Mengdong Mining Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. ("Mengdong Mining Construction") and Asiainfo Technologies (China) Co., Ltd. ("AsiaInfo Technologies") signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Beijing, focusing on vehicle-network coordination and the development of unmanned intelligent mining.

Mengdong Mining Construction is a leading enterprise in China's open-pit mining, stripping and transportation industry. AsiaInfo Technologies is a leading provider in information technology products and services. This cooperation marks a key step in advancing Mengdong Mining Construction's intelligent strategy, and represents a significant move for AsiaInfo Technologies to promote the digital intelligence transformation of mining industry.
Under the agreement, both parties will leverage their complementary advantages and make joint efforts to integrate Mengdong Mining Construction's capabilities in open-pit mining, stripping and transportation with AsiaInfo Technologies' products and services such as private 5G network, AI and digital intelligence operation. They will conduct in-depth collaboration around four key directions including "joint solution development, collaborative market expansion, standard co-establishment, and industry co-creation", collectively promoting the intelligent upgrade of mining and stripping operation and the development of industry ecosystem.
In terms of "Joint Solution Development", Mengdong Mining Construction's equipment, facilities and scenario resources for mining, stripping and transportation will be deeply integrated with AsiaInfo technologies' private 5G network, big data, AI and other technologies. Both parties will collaboratively develop integrated solutions for mining and stripping operation, continuously enhancing their innovativeness and practicability.
In terms of "Collaborative Market Expansion", both parties will integrate their superior resources, establish joint teams, share customer sources, and work together to explore domestic and international markets for coal and non-ferrous metal mining.
In terms of "Standard Co-establishment", both parties will collaborate with industry associations, scientific research institutions and regulatory bodies to jointly develop technical specifications, data interfaces and safety standards for intelligent mining and unmanned driving, thereby promoting the orderly development of the industry.
In terms of "Industrial Co-creation", both parties will focus on high-value scenarios, collaborate with upstream and downstream partners in the industry chain, and explore diverse cooperation mechanisms in project, operation, capital and other aspects. This collaboration aims to drive the large-scale application of cutting-edge technologies such as unmanned driving, private 5G network and AI large model in the mining industry, jointly build a prosperous ecosystem for intelligent mining, and establish a benchmark for smart mining operation!
Furthermore, both parties will jointly initiate the construction of a mine-wide intelligent wireless communication network for unmanned driving at a large open-pit mine which ranks among the top three in domestic production capacity and is affiliated to one central state-owned enterprise. This network will provide comprehensive operation and management support for hundreds of unmanned mining trucks within the mining area.
In the future, AsiaInfo Technologies and Mengdong Mining Construction will collaborate to build a safe, efficient, and green mining and stripping operation system. Together, they will create an integrated service model of "Network + Platform + Operation", enabling mining equipment and facilities to shift from "passive maintenance" to "active operation" and mining development to transform from "extensive operation" to "value-driven operation", thereby supporting the mining industry to achieve refined operation and sustainable development.
