On October 10, during the 2025 China Mobile Global Partners Conference, AsiaInfo Technologies and China Mobile Research Institute jointly launched AI native RAN base station (AISWare RANvolution). The product is newly developed by AsiaInfo Technologies based on China Mobile's CIS-RAN architecture and the technical system integrating communication, computing and intelligence. It enables dynamic sharing of base station computing power, endogenous edge large model services and endogenous intelligence in wireless networks. By delivering integrated communication, sensing, computing and AI capabilities, it helps communication operators further enhance 5G network architecture. This launch marks a key step for both parties in the field of "Communication + AI" integration and innovation.

AI native RAN base station uses "Integrated Facility + Intelligent Orchestration" as the lever to comprehensively expand the capabilities of RAN:
Integrated Facility: Including communication, sensing, computing and intelligence-integrated baseband, along with radio frequency unit. Through the dynamic sharing of CPU and GPU computing power, it enables the integrated supply of communication, sensing and intelligent computing resources.
Intelligent Orchestration: Serving as the "intelligent brain" of AI native RAN base station, it achieves unified scheduling of network resources and full lifecycle management of AI agents within network elements.

Three Major Innovations, Building Differentiated Competitiveness
Dynamic sharing of base station computing power: Heterogeneous Elastic Resource Orchestrator and end-to-end orchestration & optimization are introduced to achieve flexible allocation of CPU/GPU computing power resources among BBU clusters.
Endogenous Edge Large Model Services: Through built-in edge large models within base station, along with rich industry knowledge and RAN-side computing power support, it provides stable 5G network communication services and large model-driven real-time AI services simultaneously for various industries.
Endogenous Intelligence in Wireless Networks: Through built-in AI agents (RAN Agent) within base station, it is capable of executing intelligent decisions such as link adaptation, resource scheduling and network optimization, thereby significantly enhancing network performance and reducing energy consumption.
Currently, AI native RAN base stations have been adopted in fields such as wind power, nuclear power, low-altitude economy and healthcare. At a wind farm, the base station simultaneously provides 5G communication and endogenous edge large model capabilities, delivering real-time operational assistance, reducing fault resolution time by 36% and significantly improving production efficiency.
Jointly Building an AI Native RAN Base Station Ecosystem to Accelerate the Upgrade of Digital Intelligence Infrastructure
In the future, AsiaInfo Technologies will deepen its collaboration with China Mobile to continuously advance the joint innovation of AI native RAN base station, build an "Integrated Communication, Sensing, Computing, and Intelligence" network technology system oriented towards 6G evolution, and promote the large-scale implementation and deployment of AI native RAN base station in various industries such as energy, mining, education and satellite Internet.
