Recently, the results of 2024 Tianjin Municipal Science and Technology Award were officially announced. The Project "Semantic Intelligence-Oriented Computing-Network Synergized Big Data Technology and Application", jointly submitted by AsiaInfo Technologies, Tianjin University, China Mobile Information Technology, China Mobile Tianjin, Xinchuang Haihe Laboratory and National Super Computer Center in Tianjin, stood out from numerous submissions and was honored with the First Prize for Tianjin Municipal Science and Technology Progress Award.

The Tianjin Municipal Science and Technology Award, presented by the Tianjin Municipal People's Government, is aimed at commending those organizations and individuals who have made outstanding contributions to science and technology progress as well as socio-economic development in Tianjin, with significant importance for enhancing the technological innovation capabilities in Tianjin and accelerating its development into a national leading innovative city.
The judging panel recognized that the Project "Semantic Intelligence-Oriented Computing-Network Synergized Big Data Technology and Application" innovatively integrates "semantic intelligence" with "computing-network" and proposes perception-fusion scheduled wide-area computing-network technology, knowledge graph-based distributed training and reasoning technology, and interaction scenario-based complex semantic cognition technology, achieving technical breakthroughs in multi-regional deep semantic understanding, multi-granularity semantic synergetic computing and self-adaptive computing-network resource scheduling, and overcoming technical bottlenecks such as "nationwide wide-area integrated computing-network scheduling optimization, real-time massive concurrent data processing and large-scale intelligent computing service efficiency"; consequently, the Project significantly enhances the understanding and interaction capabilities of computing-network systems when serving users, providing efficient and reliable distributed computing infrastructure for customer services across various industries, information governance, and even socio-economic development.
Additionally, the "Semantic Intelligence-Oriented Computing-Network Synergized Big Data Platform" developed during this Project has achieved localized "Xinchuang" adaptation encompassing servers, chips and high-precision GPU. This significantly improves computing efficiency while reducing dependence on foreign technologies and products, lowering project costs, and achieving autonomous control.
Currently, the project outcomes have been deployed at scale for commercial use in China Mobile's computing network and big data sector, and have been successfully applied in areas such as government affairs service, public opinion analysis, telecom fraud prevention and emergency support, effectively bolstering the digital transformation and high-quality development in Tianjin.
In the future, AsiaInfo Technologies will continue to focus on cutting-edge fields including big data, artificial intelligence and computing network.
