Recently, China Unicom held its 2025 Rural Revitalization Promotion Conference in Chongqing, attended by Dan Yanzheng, Deputy Mayor of Chongqing, Wang Limin, Deputy General Manager of China Unicom, and other distinguished guests. During the event, China Unicom and AsiaInfo Technologies achieved strategic cooperation on "Empowering Rural Revitalization with Digital Intelligence Technologies", marking a deeper phase of collaboration in their "Digital Village" initiative. Feng Huajun, Senior Vice President of China Unicom’s Government and Enterprise Customer Group, and Wang Qinglin, Vice President of AsiaInfo Technologies, signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.

China Unicom stands as a pivotal force in driving rural revitalization. By leveraging its integrated innovations in networks, technologies, services, and economic models, it advances the digital transformation of agriculture, rural areas, and farmers to new heights. AsiaInfo Technologies, a leading provider of information technology products and services, continues to transform its "product + service" strengths into digital intelligence solutions that empower transformation and upgrading of diverse industries. In recent years, these two parties have worked together to accelerate the widespread adoption of technologies and products such as 5G networks and fiber-optic broadband in rural areas, laying a solid digital foundation for rural revitalization.
Under the agreement, China Unicom will collaborate with AsiaInfo Technologies through the Rural Revitalization (Chongqing) Digital Industry Institute, which was jointly established with the Chongqing Municipal Government, to advance the practices of modern agricultural and rural development. Both parties will fully utilize their respective strengths to build high-speed mobile networks in rural areas via 5G networks, supporting efficient production and daily operations; develop agricultural large/small models, blockchain-based agricultural product tracking systems, and other solutions with use of AI, big data, privacy computing, middleware, and other technologies, promoting digitalization in agricultural production, supply, sales, and rural governance; co-create integrated solutions for agriculture, culture, and tourism, injecting digital vitality into the rural economy; share technical resources, market information, and business opportunities to to foster a deep integration between rural revitalization and the digital economy.
Wang Qinglin noted that in recent years, China Unicom has significantly increased its investments in rural revitalization, focusing on four innovation systems - "space-air-ground integrated network coverage, digital-intelligence technology empowerment, intelligent platform integration services, and new economic models for shared prosperity" - to systematically advance the construction of digital villages, achieving a series of exemplary outcomes. As a strategic partner of China Unicom, AsiaInfo Technologies will take this agreement signing as an opportunity to work closely with China Unicom and the Rural Revitalization (Chongqing) Digital Industry Institute by leveraging its capabilities in consulting and planning, product R&D, implementation and delivery, system integration, intelligent decision-making, and data operations, with an aim to continuously contribute to agricultural modernization, rural revitalization, and farmers' prosperity.
