MWC Barcelona 2024 | Dr. Ouyang Ye, AsiaInfo CTO: AN CoPilot Accelerates Autonomous Networks to Higher Levels

TM Forum was hosting the Autonomous Networks Summit during MWC Barcelona 2024 on 27 February. Li Huidi (China Mobile EVP), Nik Willetts (TM Forum Chairman and CEO), George Glass (TM Forum CTO) and other distinguished executives of GSMA, Telecom France, Telecom Argentina, Huawei, Accenture, and other domestic and foreign organizations and enterprises all came together. Dr. Ouyang Ye, AsiaInfo CTO & SVP and IEEE Fellow, was invited by China Mobile and TM Forum to the Summit, and he launched the "Accelerating Towards AN Level 4" Initiative jointly with other guests.

Dr. Ouyang Ye made a keynote speech titled "AN CoPilot Accelerates Autonomous Networks to Higher Levels" at the Summit.

Along with the development of artificial intelligence and communication artificial intelligence and also with the increasing attentions to their large-scale application in the field of autonomous networks, AsiaInfo AN Copilot Product Line, which functions as an accelerator and catalyst for the advancement of autonomous networks (Picture 3), can effectively support communication operators to break through the AN development bottleneck and accelerate towards AN L4/L5, by building a dedicated AN Copilot model, enhanced cognitive services and a set of AN Copilot tools.

Based on the "five-step" AN implementation patch (including intention management, data collection and cognition, analysis, decision making and execution), Dr. Ouyang Ye deeply interpreted AsiaInfo AN Copilot's role as an accelerator and catalyst for the advancement of autonomous networks and its corresponding functions (Picture 4).

Dr. Ouyang Ye clarified four enhancements (knowledge Q&A, intelligent analysis, intelligent decision-making and closed loop of intention) and 18 key sub-abilities (Picture 5) of AsiaInfo AN Copilot as well as their application scenarios and cases. AsiaInfo AN Copilot helps global operators to accelerate towards AN L4/5.
