On November 30th, the 2023 Digital Leadership China Summit jointly organized by AsiaInfo and the famous international organization TM Forum (TeleManagement Forum) was grandly held in Beijing, bringing together hundreds of industry leaders, experts and scholars, enterprise senior managers and ecosystem partners at home and abroad. Technology and Business Bringing out the Best in Each Other Creates the Leadership of Digital Transformation in Hundreds of Industries

 

Nik Willetts, Wen Ku, Li Huidi, Xia Bing and Steffen Roehn delivered speeches at the summit respectively. All speakers shared their views, thoughts, and insights on industry development, global collaboration, business transformation, and industry empowerment from international and domestic perspectives, as well as their expectations on the establishment of industry standards and the promotion of economic and social transformation by industry organizations, and put forward the responsibilities of various roles in the process of digital transformation.

In the keynote speech session, Shen Yanfeng, Deputy General Manager of China National Nuclear Corporation, took the application of 5G in the construction of “smart nuclear power” as an example, sharing the experience of digital transformation and high-quality development in the field of nuclear energy. George Glass, CTO of TM Forum, systematically introduced the evolution and value of ODA (Open Digital Architecture) as well as the development of global autonomous networks. Shao Xinhua, General Manager of China Telecom Cloud Network Operation Department, Yan Jiang, General Manager of China Mobile Network Project Department, Sun Shizhen, General Manager of China Unicom Digitizer Department, and Liu Jinlong, Vice President of ZTE, respectively shared the theoretical explorations and business practices under the wave of digital intelligence transformation from the perspective of communication operators and service providers. Dr. Ouyang Ye, CTO and Senior Vice President of AsiaInfo, and IEEE Fellow, delivered a keynote speech on “Realizing the Symbiotic Computing and Communications with the Computing Power Endogenous Network”. He said that the “Intelligent Computing Power Endogenous Network” can realize the symbiotic computing and communications of the wireless network through six major technologies, such as computing power virtualization, so that wireless networks can run multiple services at the same time, helping communication operators and 5G private network users to achieve “online subtraction on investment, multiplication on resources, addition on capability”.

In addition, TM Forum, China Communications Standards Association, China National Nuclear Corporation, China Telecom, China Mobile, China Unicom, China Broadcast Network, AsiaInfo, Intel, ZTE, and other partners jointly issued the “Initiative for Accelerating ODA Implementation”. This Initiative was dedicated to helping the communication industry meet the challenges of the digital era and achieve sustainable development by simplifying IT architecture and reducing system integration and O&M costs.

Forging the Backbone of IT Systems and Setting up a Communication Network Bridge to Strengthen the Muscles and Bones for the Digital Transformation of Government and Enterprise Customers

 

With the development of digital society and economy, the value of big data is well-known around the world. As the carrier of data governance, transmission, and application, IT systems and communication networks have become the “double engine” to promote transformation and development as their roles become increasingly prominent. This summit also invited several distinguished guests from communication, government affairs, energy sources, transportation, postal services, and other industries to express their insights on “IT and network transformation help industrial upgrading” based on actual business practices.

George Glass, CTO of TM Forum, delivered a speech at the Network Digital Transformation Forum. Zhang Chengliang, Director of China Telecom Research Institute, thoroughly analyzed the application background, vision and goal, technical characteristics, application cases and capability evolution of the network big model, and drew a network evolution and application prospect for the future. Ren Fei, Deputy General Manager of China Unicom CFINS, started from the practice of consolidating intensive resources and data capabilities, and talked about the new leaps brought about by introducing AI big model and promoting the construction of autonomous networks. Cui Chunfeng, Director of Future Institute of China Mobile Research Institute, focused on network digital twins, demonstrated China Mobile's network-twins technology system, as well as the research progress and main challenges. Zhang Ming, Deputy Director of China Broadcast Mobile Network Co., Ltd., focused on the construction of “digital culture”, demonstrated the new pattern of integration and development of “5G communication network + broadcasting and television cable network” of China Broadcast Network as well as the new ecology of computing power network integration with computing power as the core. Liu Yunxin, Great Power Professor of Tsinghua University, Doctoral Supervisor and Chief Researcher of AIR, Ye Xiaozhou, Chief Scientist of AsiaInfo, Zhang Yu, CTO of Intel Network and Edge Division in China, and Zhang Zhijun, General Manager of Ericsson Cloud Software and Services Division in China, shared their R&D systems and innovative explorations based on “industry-university-research collaboration”.
