On the morning of March 24, Tian Suning, Chairman of AsiaInfo, said at 2019 Annual Results Conference of AsiaInfo that the 5G era is becoming an era of the Internet of everything as well as providing a new type of network for enterprise digitalization.

“Our life has been changed since the eras of 3G and 4G. We can order meals and make mobile payments through mobile phones. But the 5G era will enable all enterprises to be perceived by customers, that is, enterprises will have their own nervous system in this era.” He said, “After being perceived, the data type of enterprise will be more abundant, so that we can get to know its temperature, its vision, its weight, and its state of motion. Just like the minerals and petroleum were used as a means of producing other products in the industrial revolution, such data will provide more accurate information about our customers’ perception for us to predict the future demand.”

Tian Suning believes that 5G is gradually transforming the internal management of process-driven enterprises in the industrial era into perception-driven management in the digital era. “The enterprise’s structure is undergoing fundamental changes. Many large enterprises not only use public clouds, but build and deploy their own private clouds because of their emphasis on the confidentiality of production materials and the requirements for time delay. As 5G becomes more scene-oriented, there will be autonomous driving, smart medical services and many edge clouds deployed beside highways and hospitals. So we believe the world will become an era of hybrid cloud in the future, which will require multi-cloud management. This is the reason why we invest in multi-cloud management as one of the fastest growing factors in our vertical industry.”

In the future 5G era, not only will the telephones and computers be connected, but almost all key physical devices, such as refrigerators in homes, automobiles, airplanes, watches, and various sensor devices, will be connected.

Tian Suning believes that it needs a layer of software consisting of the billing, CRM, and BI that have been cultivated in the past few years, but the form of such software will be greatly different. For example, some still need private deployment, some need Cloud Native, some need Cloud Hybrid, and some need to be provided by SaaS. “So the vision of our company in the future is to provide core software in the Internet of Everything and 5G cloud era, and the delivery form of such software will be gradually changed from customization to standardization, and moving from standardization to operationalization.”
