The kick-off meeting and seminar for the major project "Research on Zero-Carbon Industrial Park Development Planning and Compliance System", jointly hosted by the Development Research Center of the State Administration for Market Regulation and the Shanghai Academy of Quality Management, was recently convened in Shanghai. This marks the official establishment of the national research team for "Research on Zero-Carbon Industrial Park Development Planning and Compliance System", with AsiaInfo Technologies, China Quality Certification Centre and Shenzhen Academy of Metrology & Quality Inspection being selected as the first member units. This signifies a critical breakthrough achieved by AsiaInfo Technologies in energy industry strategy, propelling the Company into the core circle of "Zero-Carbon Industrial Park Development".
The Project closely aligns with China's "Carbon Peaking and Carbon Neutrality" strategy and responds to the State Council's core requirements for zero-carbon industrial park development, which emphasize accelerating innovation in technological equipment and exploring business modes. It aims at utilizing local industrial parks as the core carrier, focusing on the establishment of a scientifically sound development and planning system for zero-carbon industrial parks, creating a quantifiable and traceable development evaluation index for zero-carbon industrial parks, exploring a mechanism for enterprises' carbon asset development and trading, designing a digital energy and carbon management system for the industrial parks, promoting the carbon footprint certification for the products, improving the green and low-carbon supply chain management system, and innovating the green financial service system.
AsiaInfo Technologies has secured the qualification to be one of the first batch of pilot units for the Project. In partnership with various stakeholders, AsiaInfo Technologies will focus on key scenarios such as the transformation of industrial park's energy structure, the digitalization of energy and carbon management and the consumption of renewable energy, carry out demonstration applications of the Project's research achievements in Dalian Jinpu New Area, establish a benchmark for zero-carbon industrial parks, and provide replicable experience and reference for the development of zero-carbon industrial parks across China. The Project will utilize AsiaInfo Technologies' self-developed energy and carbon management platform to explore a new "using green energy to drive green development" mode for industrial parks.
AsiaInfo Technologies has established a solution portfolio encompassing an energy and carbon management platform, virtual power plant operation and green electricity trading services, aligning with national requirements for zero-carbon industrial parks to "enhance energy and carbon management capability" and "develop virtual power plant mode".
Chen Haixia (Vice President of AsiaInfo Technologies) stated that, in the future, AsiaInfo Technologies will focus on building an intelligent energy management and digital platform for zero-carbon industrial parks, and provide full-link technical support for optimizing energy deployment, achieving carbon data visualization and enhancing operational efficiency by leveraging the core capabilities such as virtual power plant, load aggregation and carbon emission monitoring.
