Our next generation Business Operations Support Systems are helping China Mobile transition into a fully integrated service provider with a renewed focus on its customers. Installed in 18 provinces and supporting nearly 600 million subscribers, the system is fully extensible to meet the requirements of future services and subscriber growth. The system employs state-of-the-art security features and uses advanced technology to present a user-friendly interface.
Originally contracted to build the Business Operations Support System for China Mobile's 3G TD-SCDMA mobile network, AsiaInfo was retained for a leading role in the extension of the project to support converged service offerings. The new system has enabled China Mobile to launch converged services in 11 provinces including Beijing, Shanghai, and Zhejiang.
One example is Shanghai Mobile's GPON-based residential broadband offering, supported by the'Broadband P-BOSS'platform constructed by AsiaInfo. The system supports operation transaction, resource management, and device dispatch for 50 million broadband subscribers.
Our Business Intelligence (BI) systems for China Mobile support more than 290 million subscribers. The system was recently upgraded to meet the requirements of the operator’s Next Generation Business Analysis Support System ('NG-BASS'). Our efficient and flexible IT solutions have enabled us to build a BI installation base with 18 of China Mobile's provincial subsidiaries, as well as its headquarters, representing over 50% market share. AsiaInfo's success stems from the fact that our BI products provide a scalable data warehousing platform with user-friendly data mining and on-line analytical applications that give operators access to highly organized, real-time subscriber data. Our BI customers are assisted by our expert Business Operations Consulting team, which helps carriers analyze subscriber data in order to run more effective sales and marketing campaigns.
