Dr Edward Tian
Founder and Executive Chairman

Dr Edward Tian co-founded AsiaInfo in 1993 in Delaware, USA. He led the company as CEO between 1993 and 1999 and has remained on the Board of Directors throughout the past two decades. Edward was appointed Executive Chairman in February 2014.

While supporting AsiaInfo, Edward has also taken active roles at several other organisations. Between 1999 and 2006, he was the CEO of China Netcom Company Ltd. He was also Vice Chairman at China Netcom Group between 2002 and 2006. In 2005, Edward became Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors at PCCW Ltd, and stayed in this role till 2007. In 2006, he founded China Broadband Capital Partners and has been its Chairman ever since. Edward is also an independent director of several multi-national corporations including MasterCard International, Lenovo Group Ltd, and Taiking Life Insurance Company Ltd.

Edward holds a Ph.D. in Natural Resource Management from Texas Tech University, USA. He is also a member of the Harvard Business School Asia Advisory Committee, as well as a Board Member of The Nature Conservancy’s Asia Pacific council.

Michael Wu
Chief Executive Officer

After a successful 4 and a half years of managing the finances for the company as the CFO, Michael Wu was promoted to the position of CEO in March 2015. In the past he has also held key positions in the company including GM of Asia-Pacific Region, President of AsiaInfo International, Chairman of the Board at AsiaInfo Software, and Executive VP of AsiaInfo Group. Some of the highlights of his career at AsiaInfo include integration of AsiaInfo and Linkage in 2010, rapid growth of international business, and the privatization of the company in 2014.

Prior to joining AsiaInfo, Michael served as CFO of iSoftStone Information Service Corporation, Group Finance VP at Huawei Technology, and held senior financial managerial roles at several multinationals including Lucent Technologies, China and SAP, China.

Michael holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from the City University of Seattle, USA and is an accounting graduate from the University of International Business and Economics, China.

Yadong Jin
Chief Technology Officer

As AsiaInfo’s CTO, Yadong Jin is responsible for our products and technology, research and strategy. Yadong spends a lot of time meeting clients around the world, aiming to inspire and support their future success with his visionary outlook, rooted in wide-ranging experience of the IT sector and deep knowledge of the telecom industry.

Before joining AsiaInfo in 2008, Yadong was the Director of Consulting & Integration division at Hewlett-Packard China, and Director of Business Consulting Services at IBM, China. He holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Nanjing University.

Anthony Pang
Chief Operating Officer & President - APAC

Anthony Pang joined AsiaInfo in 2013 and successfully led the operations in South East Asia. In May 2015, Anthony was entrusted with the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) for all international operations for the company. Under his new role, he is mainly responsible for improving the performance of all international business units through increased focus on sales operations, project management and cost optimisation. Additionally, Anthony also holds the position of President for the APAC region, and is responsible for the overall performance and progress of our business in the Asia Pacific region.

Before joining AsiaInfo, Anthony worked in senior roles in consulting services, strategic business development, international business and operations, at global organisations including British Telecom, Accenture and IBM. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

Zhang Hua
President - EMEA

Zhang Hua joined AsiaInfo in 1998 as an Engineer in our R&D department. Since then, his exemplary work has seen him assume various responsibilities in roles including Chief Engineer – R&D, Director of Rating & Billing Product lines, Deputy General Manager of BSS R&D, and Vice President of AsiaInfo Group. Since July 2015, Zhang Hua was made President of EMEA, giving him the overall responsibility of the establishment, operations and growth of the EMEA division. 
Zhang Hua holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Engineering from Shaanxi University of Science &Technology, and is currently based in Denmark and UK.

Alex Hawker
Managing Director – EMEA

Alex Hawker is the Managing Director of EMEA and joined the company in November, 2012. He is responsible for business development and commercials of the EMEA business unit. 

With 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, Alex joined AsiaInfo from Nokia Siemens Networks where he was head of the company's global software sales. He previously served as CEO of Actix International, corporate vice president of global sales for Amdocs, vice president for EMEA at Open Wave and general manager of telecoms sales for EMEA at Hewlett Packard. Alex has also been a marine scientist at the National Maritime Institute and holds a Bachelor's degree in Physics and Oceanography from Plymouth University (UK).

Andy Tiller
Vice President, Corporate Product Marketing

Andy joined AsiaInfo in 2012 to create a global Product Marketing function and establish a European presence for the company. His responsibilities include all aspects of the marketing mix for AsiaInfo’s international business.

Prior to joining AsiaInfo, Andy was SVP of Product Marketing and Strategy for ip.access, where he was also a board member and director of the Small Cell Forum. Previously, Andy was CTO and VP Product Marketing for ShoZu, a GSM Award-winning mobile service for sharing user generated content.  From 1998 to 2002, Andy was VP of Product Marketing with Geneva Technology, a provider of telecoms billing software, where he helped to create a successful strategy for the company's entry into the mobile billing market.

Andy holds a PhD in Theoretical Chemistry from Cambridge University, UK.
